This track is a wordless prayer to the source of life. About ten years ago, I was leading a group and one of the participants was in a very deep crisis after having been diagnosed with a terminal illness. I realised there was really nothing I could do for her but to sing. As I prayed for guidance, I saw, with my eyes open, a shape of light going through the circle. This light had more or less a human form and it blessed first the woman who was ill and then all the other people. I heard a voice singing a melody, and I started to sing with it. I have been using the melody I learned that day for many years now, and it always brings a feeling of blessing and calmness when I sing it.
The nature sounds that we added are a gentle rain and forest sounds. Together they give the sound you would hear when you would be in a forest, sheltering for rain. For me, it creates a sense of meditative waiting, a moment when nothing needs to happen, just being is enough. In this way, it expresses the spacious peace of the north.
